Urban Foresight Report Named Outstanding Low Carbon Publication of 2015
Urban Foresight has won the award for โOutstanding Low Carbon Publication or Report of the Yearโ at the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnershipโs 2015 Low Carbon Champions Awards for the EV City Casebook.
The awards, designed to identify and promote examples of outstanding and innovative practice in accelerating the shift to lower carbon vehicles and fuels and reducing road transport emissions were held in Milton Keynes and compered by actor, comedian, writer and electric car enthusiast Robert Llewellyn.
Nominations acknowledged organisations or individuals that have made significant contributions to accelerating the shift to lower carbon vehicles and fuels or reducing road transport greenhouse gas emissions through other approaches. For their submissions nominees had to illustrate:
- The outcomes that have been achieved;
- The use of innovation in the approach adopted;
- What has/is being done to disseminate the outcomes/achievements and encourage wider take-up and;
- Other activities and future plans by the organisation to reduce environmental impacts.
Urban Foresightโs EV City Casebook profiles 50 world-changing ideas that will shape the future of electric mobility. The work draws on the global networks of the partners that produced it: the Clean Energy Ministerialโs Electric Vehicles Initiative (EVI), the International Energy Agencyโs Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Implementing Agreement (IA-HEV) and Urban Foresight. It provides insight and analysis on policies, projects, technologies and business models implemented in 23 countries across six continents. The judges said: โUrban Foresightโs guide brings together important stakeholders at international level with highly tangible outcomes.โ
The awards held this year on 09 September 2015 are an initiative of the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership (LowCVP), a public-private partnership that exists to accelerate a sustainable shift to lower carbon vehicles and fuels and create opportunities for UK businesses.
